The EU could “respond swiftly and decisively” in response to what it calls “unwarranted” visa bans issued by the United States against five European individuals working on combating online hate and misinformation, an EU official stated.

EU Officials Condemn US Move as ‘Coercion’

Officials from Europe including Emmanuel Macron accused Washington of “coercion and intimidation”, following the travel bans targeted figures who have been at the heart of efforts to enact legislation regulating American tech companies.
